The Haunted Stars is an improvisational recording project to explore the rarely considered sounds in our environment. We search for unique locations in and around Los Angeles and make recordings within these locations utilizing materials found onsite. These locations include forgotten buildings, dilapidated houses, abandoned factories, natural caves and other special places. This is an ongoing project with an expanding group of contributors. Each recording will be an improvised performance with the location playing the most vital role in the group. Each recording or "song" will be an experiment and we hope to incorporate all types of recording techniques and musical performance.
